A matching set of activewear laid flat beside individual separates

Matching Sets vs Mix-and-Match

Clementine Rhodes · 22 June 2026 · 5 min read

The matching set is a quiet shortcut to a considered look. When it works, when it doesn't, and how to mix well when you'd rather separate.

A matching set does a lot of work for very little effort. The moment the bra and legging are cut from the same fabric and the same colour, the outfit reads as intentional, even with a bare face and studio hair.

When to wear the set

Studio classes, Sundays, coffee afterwards. Anywhere you want to look put-together without thinking. Our Studio Set, Sculpt Legging + Sculpt Bra, was built to be the most quietly coordinated pair in the wardrobe.

When to mix

If you're layering heavily, if the bra and legging have different support requirements, or if you want a little more contrast. Two neutrals from adjacent tones, vanilla + oat, black + liquorice, always work.
